Would i need an active cable to covert DVI/VGA to Display port?

Hey so I recently got 2 old dell 5:4 monitors from my dads old home office and upgraded him to a more modern 16;9 displays, but now i have these monitors laying around and my little sister has just gotten into PC gaming and is wanting more than 1x monitor i was thinking of giving her them as I have them sitting in my office and doing nothing, but the question is do I need a active cable like this active adapter

Or would something like this cable work?

as id only be trying to get the 2x 1280x1024 5;4 out of them and work with the Titan V in her current gaming rig.

heres a pic of the monitor is needed (its a dell 1707fpt )

Should not need an active adapter for that resolution. Just a passive adapter or cable.
I’d expect that cable you sent to work just fine.

DVI-D / Display Port would work just fine. No need for an active cable.

Sweet, thanks Just ordered it, hope that it works for my sis!

Single link DVI will work, but good god why are your using a resolution for 2002 on a titan V

No but good luck finding a cable that isn’t crap…

Because I had the Monitors and GPU laying around and my sister has just gotten into PC gaming and wanted some more monitors

@GigaBusterEXE step off man I have 2 4:3 screens in my array of 12 ;p
