Won't Post AsRock X470D4U with 3900x

Fist time posting, Long time listener.

I have a computer that doesn’t want to post.
I have No Signal over KVM through IPMI or the P2000 graphics card.
I’ve updated firmware (2.32.00) and BIOS (3.50 & 4.20).
Fans spin but keyboard LEDs don’t light up.
I’ve event tried asking nicely.

This is my first build. There’s a good chance it’s something obvious.

what memory?
what CPU cooler?
any accessory devices connected?
have you tried resetting the CMOS?

Debug codes can be found in the manual. There are dozens of them…IPMI should log them, otherwise there should be a display on the board.

Bios update should resolve this. Can be flashed from ipmi.

I reset CMOS No change.
Memory: 2x Samsung M39A4K40BB2-CTD7Y
CPU Cooler: AMD Wraith (Came with CPU)
Connected Accessories: GPU Nvidia P2000, Samsung 970 Evo M.2, no mouse, crapy usb dell keyboard.

Original BIOS was 1.50

I Flashed BIOS 3.50 and 4.20 (neither worked) but manual says it doesn’t update IPMI dashboard unless computer posts. I assume that’s why it isn’t shown.

The last bios flashed was 3.50. There were a couple of threads with people who used Matisse CPUs who said 3.50 worked but 4.20 didn’t.

Thanks for the help.

The DR. Debug on board does not light up.
I have an IPMI alarm of low battery voltage (2.6V)
Thanks for the post. I’m going to run to the store. Hopefully this works.

I replaced the CMOS battery and reflashed BIOS 3.50 and it’s still not posting.

Thank you all for your time.

It’s probably the registered ECC memory. Thanks for everyone who posted. I’ll post the results.

It’s probably the registered ECC memory.

Definitely this, non-Threadripper Ryzen chips only support ECC UDIMMs.

It worked with new memory. Thanks.
