Wolfsangel trilogy?

On my most recent book run I happened upon "Fenrir" by M.D. Lachlan (one of Mark Barrowcliffe's pen names), started the first few chapters, then stopped to do my research; turns out this is the second entry in Lachlan's "Wolfsangel" series of fantasy novels, the first being Wolfsangel of course, and the third entry called "Valkyrie's Song." Knowing that I've jumped into a story with a unique course of plot events, characters and places that I've no real grasp of it's universe, and risking an otherwise enjoyable time continuing reading the book, has anyone else read these? What did you think of them? I'm already pretty into it, but I just want a more concrete perspective of what I'm dealing with here. I don't read a whole lot of fantasy/historical fiction much.
