Wiping Xbox One X Data - Does it do a quick format?

Hi all, MS site says

Reset and remove everything. This option resets the console to factory settings. All user data, including accounts, saved games, settings, home Xbox associations, and all installed content will be deleted. Use this option when selling or gifting the console, or as a last resort in some troubleshooting cases.

Is this just a quick format, i.e. the MBR is wiped and the data is still on the disk?

Should I remove the disk and do a 7-8 pass wipe?

I’ve got no inside info to base this on, it’s possible that the user data and installed games sit in encrypted partitions (say using Bitlocker) and the reset initialises a new set of cryptographic keys.

Safety says to examine the drive and wipe the partitions in a manner that satisfies you. I suspect that you don’t want to wipe out the XBox OS.

K3n.
