I’ve never really used any form of software RAID other than ZFS/BTRFS.
I currently edit my photos by importing them to the NAS (TrueNAS), but I’d like to start importing them to the local machine, instead.
I plan on having 3 - NVMe in RAID5
And probably 4-5 Spinning Rust in RAID5.
How does Storage Spaces work in terms of performance per disk? I know ZFS is based on the number of zvols, not necessarily the number of disks (so one single array of 3 disks would perform as one disk). Does Storage Spaces work in the same fashion?
