I have been looking around and I can't really find a good solution for backing up family computer to a local home media server and a cloud service.
I am currently using Crashplan to backup the computers to our local media server and I am considering buying the Cloud service so that they can recover in the case the server fails etc. Has anyone used Crashplans Cloud service?
Any other software suggestions?

I'm searching for the same thing right now, I have a client with 3x Windows 7 machines and 1x Windows Server that wants to sync and backup everything between his machines. The server is an Openstack cloud instance running Windows Server 2012. After a bit of googling I found seafile(https://www.seafile.com/en/home/) which seems perfect for what I need, because the free plan covers the number of users he will have syncing with the server. For you though, I think it will be a bit costly, I presume you will need the plan for 9 users, that's 100$/year. There is also duplicity for Windows https://itefix.net/cwdup, although I haven't tried it. You will have to own a machine to which you're going to send the backups in this case.
