Every Windows 11 update resets my personal settings like icons, sound and themes. Why does this keep happening?
I had a problem when Windows automatically updated Windows 11.
I had a custom registry to allow me to use Windows Mixed Reality devices.
The Windows update wiped the registry and bricked my VR headset! WMR is no longer supported.
There is a custom Steam driver called ‘Oasis’ (named after Ready Player One I guess) that will let devices made for Windows VR to work in Windows 11.
Bottom Line: I haven’t even tried to use VR in over a year.
