Windows 11 - To Switch Input Methods Systray Icon Question

I’ve looked around for a way to disable this icon from showing up.

Strange that it only shows up on my updated Workstation machine.

Anybody know what function I’m overlooking ?

It’s called the Input Indicator, and could previously be turned off.

A workaround I’ve found nowadays is to enter Time & Language > Typing > Advanced kb settings, toggle “Use the desktop language bar”, and then continue on to the “Language bar options” settings panel linked just above the touch keyboard category. In that window, set “Language Bar” from Docked in tb to Hidden.

The workaround works by telling windows to delegate the language bar to the desktop one, and by configuring the actual localisation handler to never show the language bar anyway. The key here is that the taskbar option disappears once you enable to “Use the desktop language bar”

@HumbleDeer thanks that worked, I was going to just live with it but that resolved it and now it no longer shows up and my OCD has subsided :stuck_out_tongue:

Now what is strange is that I’m using the same Win 11 Pro build on multiple computers now and only this single computer had this issue.
