Windows 10 problem with 2. GPU

Hi there

I just up(down)graded to Windows 10. As my PC had Problems anyway I installed everything new.
Now to my problem. I have a GTX 970 that works fine and a GTX 560 Ti that worked fine on Windows 8 but now on Windows 10 I can't get it to work. The 2 screens connected are black and in the device manager there is a error code 43 saying something like : the device was stopped, as it reported an error.
I think it must be the drivers as the GPU worked fine before and when I put it in my other system It works fine too. Is there a patch or dose somebody have the same problem. I have tried to reinstall the drivers but I get the same error all the time.

I hope someone can help

There is so much that's not clear here. Are both GPUs in the same system, or are we talking about two different GPUs in two different systems? You say you have a 970 that works fine and a 560 Ti that used to work on Win 8 but not Win 10. Which GPU is getting the error code you mention? Additionally, when you say it works in your other system, which GPU are you referring to? Are both machines running Win 10?

There is no DX12 support for Fermi gpu's (GTX 400/500) from Nvidia right now so that could be the reason for the problems with the 560ti. Here's a link with the all the DX12 supported gpu's

I have 2 660's in SLI, and I'm bugging out from games after 5 minutes or so.. so I'm guessing that it's one of many driver issues that we just have to wait for Nvidia to get fixed :(

There are specific windows 10 nvidia drivers that were released last week. Are you using them?
Also, are these gpu's in the same system? Cause you can run 2 screens off a 970 just fine.

Yeah I run 2 screens from the 970 and another 2screens from the 560 ti

Hello JSFighters, I have the same problem with my gtx680 and gtx580,
it seems that the problem is coming from nvidia/windows, that managed
to mess up the video driver, when using 2 graphic cards or more.

The solution so far is downgrading to windows 8 or 7

Have you tried this?

Yes I have tried that and it does not work with 2 graphic cards

Me neither :( tried with an older driver.. same problem.. apparently Nvidia KNOWS about the issue, and is working on it.. dunno how long we'll have 2 w8.. :(
