Im running windows 10 GTX 970 i7 4790k and suddenly when I leave my pc for 15-20 mins it goes black and a colour such a red or blue or green on my second monitor and the only way I can get back to windows is it I restart my pc. Could be drivers I just installed the latest ones then installed geforce 364.51 ( its a little older 1 month or so).
I happen to have the same hardware, OS and nvidia driver installed, I've had no such problems, I'll let you know if I do. But I think (unfortunately) it's probably a physical problem with your cables or (let's hope not) your 970. Keep looking man :/
but it was all fine before I updated drivers? Im thinking it could be a virus I was on a fishy website before. idk. Im gonna reset my OS
Have you tried reinstalling the driver? Or maybe just going back to the older version of it? It would confirm or deny if it's that.
im downloading drivers from 21 of december 2015 as we speak so ill install those and if that doesnt work ill reset my os

I had a similar problem with my GTX 970 some time back, and it turned out to be the drivers. So that's probably a good place to start.
I see this running in my task manager ctfmon.exe is that a virus?
No it is not a virus.

what do you think the best driver is ? because im resetting my os and I want to install good drivers strait from the start. what version? yours?
Well, if it only started happening after the latest drivers, why not go back to the one previous to that?
Try 365.10 -> The number pleases me, give it a shot. Also, I gamed a lot on the few days this driver was out, and everything worked great for me.
