Win7 professional 64bit iso

I am currently waiting on my parts to arrive from new egg and I didn't plan on buying an optical drive. I know i need an ISO of the windows key that i have (which is win7 prof.) The issue I've been having trying to put on a usb is once its done being installed on my usb is it gives me a bootsect error that i cannot seem to fix.  The only thing I've found that microsoft has said is log in to our store and blah blah blah. Since i did not purchase my copy of win7 prof from microsoft their help is useless..... Please help all my parts are scheduled to be here in a few days and id like to have win7 ready to rock n roll.. Thanks

Since you already have a windows key? You can download the ISO file from here.

What program did you use to burn the windows 7 ISO to USB?

For windows ISO's i always use, Windows 7 USB/DVD download Tool.

That's where i got the ISO and where i got the download tool. I just finished another shot at it with another ISO and got the same error

"Files copied successfully. However, we were unable to run bootsect to to make the USB device bootable."

I may or may not have just realized something.

  • Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista, or Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit)

  • Pentium 233-megahertz (MHz) processor or faster (300 MHz is recommended)

  • 50MB of free space on your hard drive

  • DVD-R drive or 4GB removable USB flash drive

Can i not do this with a win8 computer?

W8 should work, I can do it, but try running in W7 mode, may fix :)

well apparently i double posted this and on the other one was recommended poweriso and it worked or atleast said it installed correctly on my usb
