I am building a Linux computer using a Ryzen 5000 cpu and I wanted to use an Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero, mostly due to a passively cooled chipset. From some research, I found out that fan control on linux doesn’t work well with IT Super I/O Chips. Instead, people recommend motherboards which use a Nuvoton Super I/O for the best linux compatibility. I found out from this link from TweakTown that the Dark Hero uses a TPU System I/O chip. I tried to do some research on TPU but have been unsuccessful. Does anyone know what the compatibility of the TPU chip is with Linux?
