So this is the list for a PC i want to build because i am selling my current build to a friend. I dont know much about PSU's so please help me pick a PSU that can power the build but isnt overkill, fairy priced and modular.
For the PSU, I would recommend the Seasonic G550. It's 550w. 80+ Gold certified, and made by seasonic. But one question for you. Why are you getting a K-SKU processor with a h87 motherboard?
This is what I would recommend. In my opinion, a strong power supply that can carry on for years is the best investment you can make in your PC. The wattage is way more than you need, but say AMD or Nvidia rolls out with a beast of a Graphics card that catches your eye. but it's a power hog. You can fit it in easily with still a lot of head room. Say your wallet expands and you want to SLI or Xfire it, you can do it without going to buy another PSU. Plus, if you buy a really good power supply, you can use it for than one build and save $100-$150 each time you build. Graphic cards and CPUs get outdated by power supplies don't as long as you have something really beefy.
So basically the more you have = The more money you save in the long run.
