Which M.2 heatsinks work well with the Asus SSD Q-Latch fastener?

Several posts (some elsewhere) claim that the Asus M.2 SSD Q-Latch fastener (instead of a small screw) doesn’t work well with many add-on heatsinks.

I’m looking for a decent passive heatsink for a Samsung 990 Pro SSD.

Thanks.

I’ve used these no-brand ones successfully on my Asus Z690 motherboard with both Crucial and Sabrent SSDs:

I like them as they don’t have any branding or nonsense on them, plus they come with everything you need to fix them.

Thank you, ScottishTom.

Since one of M.2 sockets doesn’t utilize a Q-Latch, I ordered a $9 Thermalright HR09 2280 PRO SSD Heatsink Cooler for it, and discovered that it also worked with a Q-Latch. So I ordered another one (as shown in the photo) for the M.2 socket with a Q-Latch fastener.

The temperature reduction is substantial, though not surprisingly so given its large size and height.

I’ll consider the one you suggested in builds that don’t have room for a tall heatsink.

Thank you again.
