Hey, so i am wondering which keyboard i should get (budget should be ignored). I either want a corsair K95 RGB, a filco 87 key (which ill order wasdkeyboard key caps for), or an 87 key wasdkeyboard V2. these are very different, and i don't NEED the extra keys on the K95, but they would be nice, and a factor to be weighed. I do not know which switch i want, but i am getting a switch tester very soon, so i'll figure that out then. If you think that i should get a wasd or filco, i would love help on the colors and custom design of the keyboard. Or, if you think i should get a completely different keyboard, please say so, with a reccomendation from my list to.
Well, the K95 is a full-size keyboard, and a large one due to the macros.
The Filcos are known for amazing build quality and a more professional look. It's much smaller due to the TKL design. I think the size and the bling is the main factor here. They are pretty hard to compare.
Honestly though, all the boards you mention are good boards. I doubt you'll be disappointed with any of them. Just choose the one that has the features you want, and the aesthetics you prefer. If you want the extra keys and backlighting, go Corsair. If you want minimalism, go WASD or Filco. Once you figure out what switch you want (I'm partial to browns), narrow it down to just the boards that come with that switch type.
I have all but decided it will be the WASD V2 88 key. I have email them asking multiple questions and they have been really helpful. I asked them about the Phantom PCB as well and they were helpful enough to tell me that ti would not fit as default but how to modify their case to fit it. These guys are great.
I will not get into the nightmare that was my K95. But it ends with me never buying Corsair anything ever again.
