Which graphics card is better?

Of the following which is the best?

The AMD HIS HD 7850 4gb 1.00ghz $263.98,

the AMD HIS HD 7950 3gb 800mghz $295.56,

the AMD HIS 7870 2gb 1.00ghz $209.99,

the AMD HIS  HD 7970 GHz Edition 3gb 1.00ghz $464.98.

Im not sure what gb and ghzs do for a grahics card so i can not pick out the best one, also I dont know which ones have better design.  Thanks!

I would go with the 7950 and overclock it so it closely performs like a 7970.

i think you swapped the prices on the 7870/7850

as for what GB do for a card, i'll leave this thread here: http://teksyndicate.com/forum/build-pc/6804gb-vs-660ti-sli/135371

ghz is a frequency, i'm not sure how to explain it, someone help me out here

simpel the HiS HD7970 GHZ edition is just the best one ofc.

but the 7950 and 7870 are also nice cards, its depending on what you realy want to spend..

i have a HiS HD7870 GHZ edition. myself..

but the main question is what do you want, and what do you expect.

Obviously the Radeon HD 7970 is the best option, or if you can stand not to have HIS branding on it, XFX has a nice Radeon HD 7970 for around $300.

Best value: 7870/7870XT

Best Performance: 7970

Best low budget: 7850

Overall: 7950

Very well put. The AMD Radeon HD 7950 is really so closely matched against the AMD Radeon HD 7970 that if you were to overclock them enough to match their respective clock speeds, the AMD Radeon HD 7950 would probably perform just as well, if not better than the stock clocked AMD Radeon HD 7970. However, this does fail to take into account that the AMD Radeon HD 7970 can also be overclocked by a fair amount, which only broadens the performance gap again. But it always depends on the card, the manufacturer, the motherboard and other factors.
