Don't concentrate on things like fans too much. Those can be added later, and there are many more important things that you could get. You will be perfectly fine with whatever fans are shipped with whatever chassis you choose.
Be sure to get a good heatsink to replace the stock heatsink. After a few months there is a real danger that the stock cooler will shit itself. A good CM hyper 212 will only set you back about $25.
Ya thats what I was looking at, the EVO model. What about the MOBO, is this one fine or is the ASUS model, not sure exactly which one, but the 970 chipset one, worth the extra $30?
I really like the M5A97. I assume that is the ASUS that you were talking about. Generally, I prefer ASUS branded models of AMD motherboard. They seem to have invested a little more effort in comparison to MSI. However, the necessity to go with the ASUS is a little subjective. While I would get the ASUS for myself, the G46 is a perfectly good motherboard.
I would prefer ASUS as well but if the price isn't right, it ain't right lol. And yes thats the board I was talking about. But yes, ASUS makes very high quality parts and I trust them more that any other Manufacturer but I trust MSI enough to make a solid and durable board.
