Where to plug in radiator fan?

This may seem rather superficial of the to ask, but what header should I be plugging my fan for my liquid cooled CPU into? I scavenged the cooler from an Alienware PC, and the fan was plugged into the "system fan" header on that machine. I believe it's a 4 pin wire. My motherboard is a GIGABYTE GA-X79-UP4 LGA 2011 in case specifics are a matter.

Chassis fan should work just fine.

Will it stay at a fixed RPM? Or will it be able to ramp up the speed of the fan as the CPU temp gets hotter?

You could put it into the CPU fan plug for that, if you wanted, but I like to keep my radiator fans at a set RPM, manually controlled.

I like that idea. Now that you mention manually controlled fans, is there anything in specific you recommend I use for controlling my fans?

you can use the motherboard fan headers. you can control the speed with them just fine. I use the ASUS fan xpert for fan control. it's part of the AI suite,a nd will only work on asus mobo though.;....
