What’s the smallest PC and/or Mini PC where it can take 128 GB of RAM?

There are a LOT of Mini PCs out there, but what I have found so far is that most of them top out at 64 GB of RAM (or in the case of the Minisforum MS-01, upto 96 GB of RAM).

I’m looking to potentially build a new system, as small as I can get it, that will be able to take 128 GB of RAM.

The speed of the CPU isn’t hyper critical, but it would be nice if it was an 8-core AMD processor (mostly because I don’t really want to deal with the big.LITTLE architecture of Intel 12th gen and up).

I’m going to be throwing Proxmox on it and running a bunch of containers and/or VMs.

Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Probably one of the Asrock deskmeet PCs, or if you are allowed to have Lenovos on your network the P360 Ultra.

Intel actually makes Alder Lake-S dies that have no e-cores on them; not even disabled e-cores.

The absolutely smallest that is still using consumer parts?

Take your standard ATX board and put it in an SFFTime P-ATX case. At 10.4 liters it is very tough to beat, space wise.
