It’s been a while since I’ve seen a Korean monitor roundup. What are the best options these days? Ultrawides? 4k? 40" TV style ones? I’m building a new rig and want a display to go with it.
I joined this site exactly for this question. No news for over a year and no new monitors. I’m not interested in the Samsung 4k 40".

I have an amh A409U, have had it since 2016ish. It’s been perfect for me. He’s reviewed a few other monitors in the past. My recommendation is to watch his reviews and pick one from the list. Otherwise, I’d stay away from the ones that haven’t been thoroughly reviewed. It’s not that I don’t trust them, it’s just that getting support for them outside Korea is not very easy.
I ended up buying a Crossover 34U100. It’s sweet. No dead pixels, no backlight bleed issues. Loving the ultrawide life. 3440 wide is awesome because it’s two full width workspaces. And the aspect ratio and fewer pixels compared to 4K make it great for gaming.

I’m waiting on a Crossover UW3535, should arrive by wednesday next week.

Not sure I’m going to make a seperate thread about this, but I got the monitor today. I’ll post some photos.
Lots of foam, very well packaged.
Powersupply is external, which is bit of bummer but I can live with that.
The mount for the feet. Funny, I noticed it was mounted upside down once I assembled it all. Had to rotate the mount to be able to tilt the monitor.
Inputs, using DP from my GT1030. I have not tested Freesync, since you know, NVIDIA GPU.
100hz OOTB
Color looks fine to me, no dead pixels. Made sure buy the “[Perfect]” variant from dream-seller on ebay.

Off topic question, would DM but thought others might be interested. But what are you using to get your bottom panel to look like Windows Taskbar?
Default KDE panel with “Icon-only task manager”.

Feel this is worth mentioning. The Displayport input is a bit weird. It doesn’t display full colors, lots missing. Looks like its running with 16bit color or something. HDMI is totally fine though. I’m still getting 3440x1440@100hz over HDMI 2.0, so I’m not complaining.

supposed to come out next month in europe and end of july for u.s.a. at 799 euros
it’s a 42,5 inch mva panel with freesync 2 support and marketed at low inputlag, which i’m really interested on as i want to game on it.
it’s only 60 hertz of course, but it may be the best 42,5 inch display yet to get as an allrounder.
the stand seems shit, but it has a 200x200 vesa mount, so yeah if u’re looking at cheap ~40" korean displays maybe wait for reviews to come out about the 436M6VBPAB or for korean b-panel versions of this display come out, i’m damn excited about it, because i wanted sth. with warranty and the lg43ud79 or the dell running the same ips panel, where horrible for gaming, because of a huge input lag, without freesync and a bunch of other issues.
