What's so special about the USB-C Cable?

Hi,

I know that two USB C cables can do completely different things, for example one can just provide power not data and vice versa one can support 240W and one can only support 15W. What I usually tend to do for my devices is buy many cheap cables and put them all the way around my house. What ive now decided to do is find a cable that does everything: high power delivery, reliable display output, high transfer speeds, good shielding.

Is your USB-C cable the USB-C cable that defeats all other USB-C cables??

(And no I’m not looking to spend hundreds on a cable)

Aren’t thunderbolt cables able to do all the USB stuff, including DP alt mode? Not even sure. The stupid high power draw ones apparently require a chip (EEPROM) in the end the ID itself as not being a fire hazard at that wattage.

imo 240W is kinda outrageous. but the 5-25W cables are so annoying. anything 65W plus (150W ish would be cool for laptops) would be amazing, what Wattage is Wendalls usb c cable rated for?

Good question.
