Im still worried my cpu is running a little warm at around 39-40c at idle/browsing on the web and 44-45c at load.
Im running an fx 8150 that came with a water cooler.

You could use speedfan to monitor temps. Your temps seem fine i think that processor is rated to 61 c
Those temps look fine. I like to use either Core Temp or HWmonitor.
Well thats good. Im just trying to get ready for the summer. We will have an ac unit but i just wanted to make sure i didnt need to get in there and reapply thermal paste or something like that.
One more question - when you say 'at load' what do you mean? Prime95 or just gaming and things?
When i ran prime95 for about a half hour it got up to 44c and now after gaming its getting up to about 44-45c but it was much colder outside. yesterday i was reading the temps from amd chill V and it was reading at 45c after gaming but it was around 70f yesterday and when i ran prime95 it was much cooler outside probably around 20f.
Ok i downloaded coretemp its reading all cores at a 9-17c the other temp i quoted was from the temps of the liquid inside the cooler.
Yeah the Core Temp values sound more reasonable for a water cooler CPU at idle. You are sitting pretty. Probably even have some nice overclocking room there.
What are the temps under Prime95 load using Core Temp?
I'll probably run it tomorrow.
Im actually using core temps as my monitoring program but i have a question. im using the AMD FX 8350 and it omly shows my Core CPU 0 and not everything else. It does show the freqs of all of them but i still nedd to see the temps.
I don't think Piledrivers have individual temp sensing - at least as far as I have been able to gather. There is just the one temperature read out for the whole thing.
Uhm... 45c isn't hot at all.
Imagine your room temp.. Then imagine a processor that produces _some_ heat one way or another. 45c is all good. : )
My 8350 shows the temp of all 8 cores when reading temps off of CoreTemp
I get reads of all six but they are identical - which is never right.
