What should I buy? Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO CPU cooler or SteelSeries Sensei Raw gaming mouse?
I already have a Hyper TX3 CPU cooler and it's too loud for my tastes so I was looking for something quieter.
Or I could replace my $8 gaming mouse with screwed up scroll wheel with the Sensei Raw.

If you were in my position, what would you do?
I would go with the mouse and try and find in your bios how to regulate the cpu fan speed. Other wise just get a new 92mm fan that is not as loud.

I've already adjusted my fan speed in my BIOS. It's as low as it can go without temps starting to creep at idle. I was assuming that 120mm = quieter since it'll be running at a lower RPM and thats why I was considering the 212 EVO

Sounds to me that maybe you want to revisit the heatsink setup. Because it's my bet that whoever installed it may have used a bit too much compound. Use too much compound and you nearly defeat the purpose of using it at all. Because using too much compound can act more of as a heat insulator and I'm sure you don't want to do that. (And don't spread it on with your fingers either! Since using dirty things like fingers with skin oils and all can decrease the heat conductivity of the compound.)
Other than that, the next obvious thing would be to get good airflow to those hot components. And when it comes to your PC's "junk" (like wires) be sure and tuck, tape and hide! :-P
I thought it might be an issue like that but I've already re-applied and re-seated the cooler like 3 times lol
The temps seem fine according to the BIOS it's just the fan that's annoying
I think I just need something that runs at a lower RPM honestly. It probably wouldn't bother me if my PC was on the ground but it's sitting like 2 feet from me on the desk.

I think I'm gonna go with the 212 EVO for now. It looks like Amazon is backordered 2-5 weeks so by the time it arrives I should have money for the mouse too :D
So my cooler came in and I got it installed. It's much quieter now and my temps are lower too. I hit 45° C at idle with the fan at just above 1000 RPM.
It barely fits in my Cougar Spike case though, the heat pipes press against my side panel but oh well.

I'm not huge on the included fan. It can get a little loud at load but thats why I have headphones :p I may replace it with a sp120 or just get a new cooler so I can populate all the ram slots without going to a pull config.
I've yet to try to game with it but the fan looks much better than anything I've owned in the past haha
I've heard good things about the SP120, they're a little pricey unless you get a twin pack from what I can see but hopefully they live up to expectations
