Tor can be great for communications that stay within the Tor network. To try to use it mainly as platform for accessing the regular web is like digging a hole in the ground with an axe. It can be done though not very efficiently, people will give you wierd looks and you'll end up wondering why you got the axe at all.
Sort of makes me want to play Minecraft.
