Basic question: What is the smallest ATX PC Case, which supports a full-sized dual-slot GPU (in terms of internal volume)? If it does not use a standard ATX PSU, or uses a slim CPU heatsink, link it anyway.
The reason for posting this... I'm tired of having a huge PC Case (CM Storm Advanced 2), and want to get a smaller case, plus, there are other people out there who are also wondering this, and it seems to be very rarely documented topic. Most people only seem to talk about the huge ATX cases, like the Corsair 800D.
Supposedly, this case is smaller (in CM^3) to micro-atx cases, such as the Silverstone SG09, unless my math is wrong? Silverstone SG09 Dimensions: 220 mm (W) x 295 mm (H) x 354 mm = 22974.6cm^3 In Win EFS052 Dimensions: 350 x 170 x 360 mm = 21420cm^3
Can someone double check this? Is the InWin (ATX) actually smaller than the Silverstone (micro-atx)?
Some of the HP Itanium cases are tall, but super duper thin. Then theres the old IBM aptiva cases from the 90's that were 2 shoe boxes duct taped together.
I get the Fire Hazard thing way too much. It's encased in wood glue, has an 80+ Gold power supply, and the burning point of paper/cardboard is way higher than any computer part will reach before destroying itself. It's totally fine.
Most videocards will fit in 30cm. All triple fan cards are 30-31 or somewhere there. All dual fan cards are smaller. So as long as you don't try and fit a triple fan GPU in this thing, you will be fine.
That's a good point. Unless your running an older generation overclocked GPU at 100deg+ which your not ( and even then its not directly touching the card ) then your right. However, if a cap pops on the motherboard that could fly off and start a fire.. low risk, but possible. Still the case looks funny :)
