What glue can you use on pc? Urgent!

So I was changing my friends HDD on his laptop (HP Envy M6) and connector snapped off. It barely had any glue on it.
Is there any way to mount it back on. Like using tape or glue or something?

pics?

Um I think that needs to be soldered back on to the motherboard. and it will most likely be fairly difficult to do.

It was supposed to go where it says HDD

The thing is that it was glued on from the start.

Ya you cant just tape/glue that back on. the silver parts next the the arrow above HDD are small wires there were soldered onto the connector.

What was the reason for changing the hard drive?

His PC was slowing down so we bought an SSD.

Well that thing is pretty much dead unless you can get that piece soldered back onto the board and if you don't to it right it will make it even more junk. soldering something that small is pretty challenging. Most likely you will need a shop or send it to hp to have it fixed.

I'm not sure how you managed to even do this, those things should be on there pretty good, Unless you were removing the inserted connector incorrectly.

next time just unplug the harddrive from the cable don't unplug the cable from the motherboard. this is how you replace a hard drive in a laptop

damn, you broke the pins. that's a tough one. good luck op. i hope you got money to repay your friend.

Soldering this will be a difficult job. If you get this repaired in a shop, it may cost you quite some money.
Here's my solution: If the Notebook got an CD/DVD drive, or any other drive that attaches via SATA, you could try removing it, and using the SATA connector from there, using an cheap adapter cable. If you're lucky, they might even use the same connector on the CD/DVD drive, if existent.
If you can't fix it now, you could install, say a Linux on a thumbdrive & boot from there, if your friend needs a working notebook immediately.

I talked to my friend and we came to the conclusion that a CD to Sata adapter would be the best choice. He is borrowing my laptop meanwhile.
