Got Starfield as a freebie with a new GPU the other week.

I am really liking it!

I keep getting distracted by sidequests though… I guess by design?

But the bugs are fine, and manageable
The uncanny valley is not-too-bad
Improved container/looting, better stamina bar, much better combat.

It’s fun, would recommend!

Since Street Fighter 6 has been out, I’ve been coming across some streams and content due to the new wave of characters. I’ve gotten inspired by that…

…to go play Street Fighter III! Yes I know that’s a bit of a swerve, but I put the Dreamcast version of the RetroPie I put together, and had a lot of fun playing it, just to make sure settings were good and it was running right, never touched it before.

So now we’ve installed Fightcade 2 and doing ranked lobby fights, I’m losing a ton and it’s great!

That’s actually a really good game. I still play Alpha 2 from time to time, though.

Huh, wonder how it would compare with my 7950. Radeon HD 7950, that is. As you can see it is quite an expensive card…

No, that’s not really my daily driver but I was still actually gaming on it as recently as last year.

As for what I’m playing right now…I dove too hard into BG3 and got burned out on it. So I decided to switch gears and play a game I’d never tried before…

Very nice, if you really want to expand on things Bethesda Games related, then may I suggest Nexus Mods to have plenty of replayability.

I mean Starfield is showing nearly 3000 mods now…

LOL, I’ve already ‘written’ (created? coded?) six Skyrim mods, with a few thousand downloads on Nexus. Skyrim is the gift that keeps on giving.

But I couldn’t resist Betheda’s siren song, so…

And it’s payday, so why not?

So what is your handle on Nexus then ?

I searched for imrazor with no matches.

Different handle on Nexus:

Great, sent you a friend request on Nexus, same username as here.

You may not want to see my Steam Library however, it may make you take a second look, same username on Steam

Checking out you mods now.

Friend request accepted. Odd, I never got any kind of notification, but when I went to “Friend Requests” there it was. Cya there.

Starfield’s piloting controls are exceedingly obnoxious. Sometimes the ship will ‘pull up’ sluggishly but somewhat reasonably. Other times, it barely budges…anyone know what’s up with that? And the HUD likes to disappear at random. But, hey, it’s a Bethesda game.

In spite of that still managed to take out three pirate ships. But I guess that’s why it’s a ‘tutorial’, eh?

I feel like you guys are incentivizing Todd to keep making half baked and half finished games. I mean sure Skyrim is fun but most of the fun came from the mods. They should be paying mod makers out of pocket rather than charging people for paid mods.

Cyberpunk 2077 v2.0

The first mission if you keep your saved character is ‘Upgrade U’. All of my Skill Tree stayed the same, but my Perk Points were erased and replaced with ‘New & Improved’ Perks. Basically… there are fewer perk slots, but each one does more. Then I was invited to a RipperDoc to upgrade my Cyberware.
CDPR does provide an online Skill Tree planner. I got a lot of perks to spend. I cycled thru all of the slots and carefullly bought 1 perk at a time until I had spent them all.

The Night City Police Dept was always kind of lame in Cyberpunk 2077. It was real easy to get away with anything.
In version 2.0 they are tough as hell !!!

First I provoked 2 NCPD and quickly got swarmed by dozens of cops. It quickly escalated into an “I can’t win this…Run Away” situation. I tried to steal a Caddy, but it was too slow for the chase and I got rammed off the road. I tried to escape on my motorcycle and the NCPD was sharp enough to shoot out my tires and I crashed. Then they sent the SWAT team in armored trucks with gun turrets. I turned the tables by stealing an armored truck as soon as they got out of it. I thought I was escaped when the NCPD set up a roadblock! I smashed and shot my way through it.

Then I got desperate. I drove the armored truck onto the highway… going the wrong way. By dodging oncoming traffic, and sending the police pursuit to crash into them, I was finally able to evade the police.

I haven’t really done much performance testing. But CP2077 version 2.0 certainly “Feels Different… Better”.
Can’t wait for Phantom Liberty.

I quit gaming back when Cyberpunk launched. The bad launch killed my desire to game for a few years. Now that I have decided to start gaming again and then this launches I feel a bit excited for CP2077 again!

I think CP2077 is the new GTA V. It’s deja vu all over again.

I see where you’re coming from, and can’t entirely disagree. I guess I see Bethesda games as being primarily a modding platform, and only secondarily as a standalone game. The base game is fun, but once modders get going it turns into a whole new experience.

I’m playing Yakuza Zero (for the first time) and well, of course still having fun with good ol’ DRG (Deep Rock Galactic)

I’m old… I just finished playing Unreal Tournament 3 some more.
My most common game to play is Minecraft.
I am really interested in Starfield, but I don’t have the time to sink 1000+ hours into a game, and I’m afraid that if I get started I won’t stop! :open_mouth:
