In reality, there is no 60Hz monitor that is good for FPS gaming :P
But if I were to choose, I'd say one of these two:

What do you mean? Fast response time is good for gaming, that's about the only criteria to search for, and resolution and pixel size to match the gaming pc's gpu output at 60fps
That's the problem, 60fps. It doesn't matter so much in other games, but in FPS games your aim lags and you end up missing frames that could have given you the advantage. 60Hz monitors are ok for real casual FPS gamers, but for me it was just an annoyance.
I'd often find myself being killed before the guy was on my screen, or missing a shot that was right on his head. This was because my monitor was missing frames and botching the opponent's movements, like this:
But a 120Hz monitor is obviously a lot more expensive. 60Hz works if you've never used a 120Hz monitor, but the second you use one you'll hate 60Hz forever lol
Except all 120Hz displays run off of cheap TN panels... They are fast, but cheap.
Resolution and color quality that won't dissapear after only a .05 degree turn to the left or right will always be more important to me than twitch response times and even 3D, unless of course you are a hardcore FPS gamer that plays nothing but FPS...
When we get 120Hz IPS panels that are legitimate (not the china and korea nonsense) then we will talk about 120hz over 60hz.
you're right, but still they kind of give me a headache, to see something this clear/sharp move so fast in a fluid soap opera like motion ( cause that's how they're filmed right? #(%@load of fps and poor editing :D). I preffer CRTs for serious gaming, and for people who don't have time to research or just want the newest hottest thang on the market, well just let them buy 120hz LCDs. Good IPS pannels now have better response time, so the so called wanna be gamers should be satisfied with that, or they can always buy a crappy twisted nematics bluish tinged pixelated with ~1 ms response time, which will be blown away by an old CRT or early 2000 eizo or whatever good brands there were.
