What #1 thing do you want to see in PCs 5 years from now?

Just wondering what people would want to see in PCs / PC world within 5 years.

I would say SSD standardizing to PCIe and lower cost/GB

a 2TB PCIe SSD that would cost 200$ would be awesome.

that and google fiber/ any company providing fiber for low cost. downloading 60GB GTA V @ 2MB/s was not fun

Cross-platform compatibility and standardization of all hardware which will hopefully lead to modularization.

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to really plug and play hardware?

There's a better and more vibrant screen for my phone out? Great, I'll just pop off the old one and pop on the new one.

Same with pcs. Why do we have to change an entire motherboard and memory set to upgrade to the latest cpu? Do we really need differences in processor slots? Can the slots not come attached to the cpu and connect to the motherboard in an alternative way? Can we not have a base "frame" and have all other components attach to it like modules?

For instance, there's a new faster cpu out? Great, I'll just pop out the old one and slide in the new one. There's a better motherboard out? Great, I'll just slide out the old one and slap in the new one.

Your xbox or playstation is last-gen? Not at all, just pull out the old processor and gpu and slot in the new ones and keep your game collection. I can dream right?

Operating Systems/Software/Games that will fully utilize all processor cores regardless of if its 4 or 40, and will also scale to multiple physical processor units. 10Ghz CPUs that sip power, SSDs over 2TB that will never fail, 1TB USB flash drives, 10GB/100GB network connectivity with a 10GB connection from your ISP... I know I'm dreaming. :)

A wrist computer that isn't a bracer:

Quad gpus that support CFX and an overclockable seventy core clocked at 250ghz.

This!

Razer started their project 'Christine' some time ago. Never heard of it since.
It seems the market is not yet ready for ideas that appeal to and benefit everyone.

Oh and I want a high performance desktop in a toilet with toilet paper...
