Weird Question, but can you use 2 PSU's?

I'm about to get my 2nd hd radeon 7770 Hd edition from a friend, but all I have is a 500 watt power supply.

Could I use a different power supply that I have laying around to just power the 2nd GPU? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the link, but to get even simpiler than that, can i just plug both power supplies into the wall one 500 watt one for everything in my system

A-10 6800k, F2A85 PRO FM2 mother board, 8 gigs of ram and one 7770 gpu

And the other one for the 2nd 7770?

My computer isn't really in a case, more of a testbed style

wut?

i thought you said you had another lying around.

anyways, yeah just short the pins on the other psu to turn it on and should be ok i duno.

I do but all of those methods in that article (if I'm not mistaken) require some adaptor.

that's just for ease of use. like it'll turn on when you turn on your computer, it's basically just shorting the pins for you. but do you really wana have to press a second button every time you turn on your computer?

I actually don't mind hahaha thanks for the suggestions i'll look into them
