I uncheck disable screensaver in vlc however windows screen saver turns off display while I'm watching video. When disable screensaver is checked in vlc windows screensaver will not turn off display at all which is an issue. I want windows screensaver to work so that there is more security on my computer. How can I prevent windows screensaver from interrupting vlc video without checking disable screensaver?
You unchecked disable screen saver on VLC and the screen saver turns on at the normal time. What exactly do you expect to happen?
It's doing what you want. If you want the screen saver not to come up during playback, turn on disable screensaver. If you dont, turn it off.
tip: mouse over the checkbox, it tells you what it does.
Also, don't use a screensaver. They are outdated and pointless
Unless you still use a CRT, or an old plasma that can get burn-in. Then, a screensaver is still useful.
