Video Request: Benchmark PC-BSD or FreeBSD running Steam under Wine

Installing Wine in PC-BSD is almost one click easy. Getting Steam for Windows working under Wine is a five minute job. I'm curious to see how well it performs on some of the high end hardware you guys have. It might turn out to be an attractive alternative for those looking to get away from Windows, but still be able to game.

Here is a link to a YouTube video of someone installing Wine and Steam on PC-BSD:

I destroyed my PC-BSD setup last night and am switching back to Linux. However, when games worked performance was very similar to windows. I just found that few games were stable, even if they worked and there were often weird sound glitches.

If a game was native OpenGL there was generally more chance it work.

Don't bother with AMD GPU's under PC-BSD, there is a complete lack of drivers.
