Hello, I just recently put together a new computer with a Geforce 560Ti.
However, when i try to play graphically intense games with it, my gmes start freezing after 30 seconds or so.
I've downloaded all the latest drivers from http://www.geforce.com/drivers but i still cant get my games to stop freezing. In case you need the specs of the build they are below.
Can you download a temp program like HWmonitor and tell us what temps you are getting on your graphics card when your gaming? Did you have old drivers and removed them before installing the new ones? Was your Windows 7 install a fresh install or from another pc?
I ran that program, and it told me that when i was idle at my desktop, my gpu was only runnig at 95 degrees farenheit, however, when I ran Spec Ops The Line at high setting untill the first crash, it was at 150. Everything else seems to be the same
65C for the graphics card is definitely within a normal range, does the crash only happen with Spec Ops? Does the whole system crash or just the game? You also downloaded the correct drivers correct?
It happens only when i run graphically intense games. Suddenly the picture will just freeze, but the audio will keep playing for a few seconds, everything in the game stops when the picture freezes though. I am always able to get into cntrl alt delete and run the task manager. When I do this the game comes back, and i am able to exit out of task manager and keep playing untill it happens again. Just the game freezes it seems. I am using my SSD from my old computer which had a different video card, but I handed it off to Best Buy, because the system wouldnt post. I dont know if the old drivers are still on here, i would assume not, since i lost most of my files on my c drive when i got it back. I dont know how you would go about checking for the old video drivers though.
I unistalled everything in the control pannel that said Nvidia. I then reinstalled all the new drivers from the Nvidia website. I started up Spec Ops and the same problem happened.
You would sure enough be able to sell it back to where you got it from as long as it is in the warrenty period. I would recommend then to just get a high end gpu like a 6060ti or 680.
