Using a VPS as a reverse proxy

Hi

Any good resource suggestions on setting up a reverse proxy in a VPS with a public IP address to allow my homelab internet connection?

I have currently some services I would like to access through the internet, preferably using a VPS as as a reverse proxy to my home network. My home network is behind Carrier grade nat, so I cannot really use my home connection directly.

Any good suggestions or providers? Or guides? Or something you want to contribute?

thanks for taking the time

Any reason not to try out Tailscale or Zerotier?

My current solution is Tailscale
But I would like to, hopefully, make shareable file links that actually work without tailscale

What about through Tailscale Serve or Funnel?

I was not aware of the Tailscale funnel
I will look into it more!

Thanks for the Tip @Wofltech716

Can you believe it, apparently Tailscale also has a feature to do what you want as well. Forward traffic from the internet into your tailnet. Tailscale Funnel · Tailscale Docs

Just ensure anything you expose is configured securely.

Just checked that the funnel works only on the local machine that the service runs on, which is a VM for me. Probably doable, but I am thinking about the long term viability of the solution.
