USB to bluetooth keyboard adapter

I want to run FreeBSD with a bluetooth keyboard and mouse. However their BT support is very limited. The bt-ng driver doens’t work with either my onboard adapter or usb external. Is there such a thing as a dongle that pairs with kb/mouse and just reports to the OS as a kb/mouse? Of course the configuration and pairing would have to be done somewhere like a webUI or toolkit via the OS.

I saw the WUSB but thats not exactly what I want, because I want to use existing bt HID devices, but delegate all the hardware stuff to the dongle and report to the PC as just a normal kb/mouse. thanks

On a conceptual level, this seems like a potential security issue in the future when the device stop getting updates. This is a bad idea for a product, just saying.

To answer your question: Have you considered solving this in another way? What if you use something like a PiKVM or a JetKVM? Is the objective just the ability to put distance? This could be a contrived way to do it.

If I understand correctly, you want K/M → BT HID → USB HID → PC.
Most adapters are the other way around.
