USB PCI-E Card Not Working when passed through to Windows 10

Ended up trying to figure out which of my motherboard usb controllers I could pass through. And my first try worked. Go figure. So I’m still confused why my card failed, but now I don’t need it, so I will be removing it.

Which means this is a pointless post. Mods, please remove it.

As the subject says, I’m having problems passing my USB card through to W10.

The card shows up in Device Manager, but it doesn’t work. It has the little warning icon on it, and none of the devices I have plugged into it work.

For whatever reason, my mouse isn’t working in W10, but I was able to just use my keyboard to uninstall the usb card via device manager. A reboot later, and it’s the same problem.

It’s a bit frustrating, I had this all working for a good long while. Then something broke a few days ago after a dist-upgrade, and my attempts at fixing it just made everything worse. I ended up doing a complete reinstall. I was on Pop OS 18.04. Now I’m on Pop OS 20.04.

I thought AppArmor might be the problem, but I have not been seeing any audit logs in syslog. There was a post for 17.04 that mentioned modifying the usb permissions. I tried that, but it did not help. So I rolled those changes back.

Any ideas on what I can do to fix this?

My System info:

Host: Pop OS 20.04, virt-manager 2.2.1.

Resources: AMD Threadripper 1950x. 64gb of RAM.
