Hello there everyone,
Currently working on an inherited Chef server. Seems like its a few versions behind on its distro version “EOL version 16 Ubuntu”. Has anyone had any experience with distro upgrading and chef? “Particularly any gotcha moments”
Greatest part is this machine is not virtualized, so no snapshot testing or any rollbacks. I may virtualize it first before I start down the distro upgrade path.
Another side question. Anyone have any experience with kerberos and distro upgrades? Really don’t want to break everything on this since it’s not virtualized.
I don’t have a lot of experience in Kerberos or Chef. I have down the basics of how it works but don’t know all the quirks.
