And thinking of getting another 7970 down the road to run a 3 monitor setup consisting of 3 Yamakasi Catleap Q270's

Edit: Updated the list

From a buying in Canada Standpoint ive always seemed to fine things cheaper/as a deal on NCIX, i dont have time to find parts but id suggest you take a look there to maybe find some things for cheaper!

Best of luck :)

Looks pretty solid to me!

Maybe consider sticking with your current motherboard and getting faster RAM (your mobo's overclock supports it).  Or finding another motherboard that supports 2000Mhz right out of the box and getting that instead with 16GB DDR3-2000.  For me, RAM speeds play a huge role in my editing.  Not sure if CAD programs are the same way, though.

Am i missing something ? i thought CAD stood for Canadian Dollars in his post.

oops, wrong CAD... why the hell doesn't canada use a different/unique monetary symbol LIKE MOST COUNTRIES DO.

well, at least I learned something!!!

Ohh I thought he meant it was gonna be a CAD/Gaming PC lol.  CAD being Computer-Aided Drafting

Yea sorry lol i mean CAD as the money but your advice is good :P

me too

Haha i only picked up on it because im Canadian and saw all the Newegg Canada options aswell, which is why i suggested NCIX because theyre shipping deals get good this time of year and theyre hardware is the least expansive ive seen in Canada when they have Deals On, and since where on the topic of price how long until you build this, because Boxing day for Places like NCIX is HUGE!

Well I wont be building it that soon, for me to get togeather the money it probably take 2-4 months so i have no idea if it would be a completly different list by then.

Well are you just going to be gaming, because if so you could maybe come down a little on some of the components and save some, and with that + Boxing day you might be able to get it for very little and spenmd some money elsewhere or just save it!

Buy everything from memory express. Price match it all. Save some serious money. (This is a canadian thing). They are by far the best vendor in Canada.

Also one change, instead of the Antec eleven hundred. I recommend a Bifenix Raider. Same price, better build. Fit a MSI Big Power with a 3820. Got a CM 212 Evo cooler and got 4.3ghz stable overclock with just the stock case fans. Good case.

i thought cad meant computer aided design not computer adided drafting ?

I will see around then because i should have at least 1000$ to spen by boxing day so i will see how good the deals are. maybe i could buy the bigger stuff then and the smaller stuff later?
