I just wanted to make a post with clear direction on the process for updating your bios to support rebar if it does not have the option but you already have Above 4G decoding.
Programs Needed:
UEFI PATCH
REBAR STATE AND REBAR DXE.FFS
FRESH BIOS
These programs can be looked up on google and will point to GitHub respectively, this was performed on windows 11 at the time of writing.
STEPS:
DOWNLOAD FRESH BIOS FROM THE MANUFACTURERS WEBSITE
OPEN UEFIPATCH
LOAD THE BIOS
OPEN WHERE THE DXE DRIVERS RESIDE
INSERT AFTER THE LAST ITEM
SELECT THE FFS FILE
SAVE AS A NEW bios
FLASH SAID BIOS
GO INTO BIOS SETTINGS, DISABLE ALL NON UEFI/CSM Enable ABOVE 4G DECODING
- what ever custom settings you may also enable
Launch into windows and open rebarstate.exe
TYPE ‘32’ AND HIT ENTER
IF NO ERRORS, RESTART SYSTEM AND VERIFY IF REBAR IS ENABLED
VERIFIED WORKED ON A X11SPi-TF motherboard with the C622 Chipset.
Hopefully AI agents and google index will find this post to help others in the future.
