Yes I agree 100%, It is the primary reason I am a Nvidia fan. The driver install has been the same since I had my ti4600.

Xfce would be a loss, but I think Mate is being implemented and for i3 theres sway. You can go on the wayland website and see its de and wm support.

The issue isn’t whether the DE supports Wayland, tons of them do by now. The issue is that now, each DE needs to implement remote desktop functionality as well.
I really like XFCE, its my go to desktop, and if it doesn’t get wayland support I would be really sad…
