Two PC which is the best?

Here are the specs to the first:

  • CPU: AMD A10-5800K 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor
  • Motherboard: ASRock FM2A75M-DGS Micro ATX  FM2 Motherboard
  • Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory
  • Storage: Western Digital WP Blue WD5000AAKX 500GB 7200RPM SATA 6.0GB/S 3.5
  • Case: MSI TC- (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case
  • Power Supply: Corsair Builder 500W 80 PLUS Certified ATX12V Power Supply

That is the set up I am thinking of right now. If I where to add a Nvidia GeForce 550 or a 550ti would it make a large diffrence In FPS? I would like to play games like Skyrim, Far Cry 3, Black Ops 2, Chrisis 3 (when it comes out), And Minecraft. Will this computer be able to run these games at 1080p Max settings or 720p Max setting?

Here are the spec to the second:

  • CPU: Intel Pentium G850 CPU or  Intel Core i3-2120
  • Gigabyte GA-H61M-DS2 Motherboard
  • Asus Radeon HD 7750 Graphics Card
  • 4GB Corsair XMS3 1333MHz DDR3 RAM
  • 500GB Western Digital Caviar Blue Hard Drive
  • 500W Cooler Master eXtreme Power Plus Power Supply
Which PC is the better pc for the money they both run from $350-$400 Any ways to improve either of them?

THANKS!

The AMD build is a beast, but care to specify your price range?

If you are adamant on getting a deticated graphics card then you have 2 choices,

1- Skip on the APU, get a cheaper CPU, get slower memory, 1600mhz would be fine, and get a Nvidia Graphics Card.

2- Get yourself an AMD Graphics card that will work on crossfire with your APU. In your case its the AMD 6670.

Both Ways they will play the games you mentioned, it just depends on your price bracket.

this will be able to run most games, but crysis 3 is gonna teat most computers out there a new one, it will be hard for even a $1200 pc to run it max. minecraft and skyrim will be a breeze. black ops 2 should run at about 60 fps max with this i -->think<-- Far cry 3 i have no idea at all.

tear* not teat

Max. settings is not going to happen with that kind of build.

The games will be playable though on lower settings.

If i had to choose a build out of these two I'd take the AMD one.

Here, i have 400$. build me a rig that can run every game maxed out in 1080p. dat logic. it might be able to run those games in 1080p on lowest settings.

Don't add a Nvidia card to the APU build! If you add anything add a 6670 and I think there's a 7,000 series card you can run crossfired with it too. But yeah the top one.

The problem with the AMD option is that (even though faster) you wont be able to upgrade to a better CPU as easily with an FM2 mobo. However with the i3 you can buy a cheap motherboard to suit your budget and still have it so you can upgrade drastically in the future. For that reason alone i would go for the i3.

Hope I'm not wrong/stupid ;)

THANKS GUYS SO MUCH! My buget is 350-400 dollars, if you were wondering.
