Trying to build a new cluster with PVE 9.0 & ended up changing to 8.4 without ventoy (I kinda fixed it like 10 min after posting this, sorry)

Hey, I just managed to get 2 kinda simular desktop PC’s back into working condition.

Both are running 3rd gen core cpu’s (one i5, one i7), and both have been equipped with 20GB of ram.

After I installed the PVE 9.0 with ventoy with grub2 mode, I got this error. The whole installation process went completely fine. And then I get this error

After I tried to install the pve 8.4-1, the hypervisor did not start properly, with getting stuck on the “loading ramdisk”-phase.

Any ideas? I got the same issue with 9.0 with just a complete USB drive getting used for the installer, so kernel panic.

My plan was to get these machines running as a cluster of 2 machines so that I could play around with cluster stuff.

Update:

The PVE 8.4-1 works allright if you don’t use the ventoy
