Truenas server upgrade

I have a HP DL380E G8 that i have been using for my Truenas/Plex server. I am using a hp LSI 9205-8i as the HBA card. I have the front 12 bays filled with 4tb seagate drives and now I am running out of space. Is the HBA card good enough that will allow me to replace the 4tb drives with 12tb drives?

If this is in the wrong place please move it to the correct one.
Thank you

HBA’s generally don’t care about the size of the disks attached, so your new 16TB drives will work fine with the LSI card. Do note you can’t just swap out disks in TrueNAS. Read the documentation/manuals, either online or included in your install.

Yes, it should work fine. You can upgrade the pool by setting one disk to offline, replacing it, and rebuilding the pool. Repeat until all the old drives are gone. The pool will automatically expand when all member disks are the new capacity.
