Truenas Iscsi boot with Connectx6 Dx

So, I am trying to boot to a truenas iscsi lun, (4x2 mirror vdev ssd with l2arc optane), I am using a Connectx6dx DIRECTLY connected to a qlogic 10gbe sfp+ nic in truenas. On the CX6 side, I am using a… what is it… QSFP+ → SFP+ adapter?

When I boot Opensuse install dvd, I CAN load up and see the iscsi lun, although it is VERY slow. I was able to install opensuse.

However, when I go to boot, I get this error.

I can boot into windows on an nvme on this server and do an iscsi connection. I see the opensuse partitions.

What could be the problem? It says cant connect to ipxe.org. Does it need to connect to internet? I would think not but I could be wrong?

Looks like I got a Cisco card:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/unified_computing/ucs/release/firmware_files/4_2/b_ucs_c-series-firmware-files_4_2/m_firmware_files_4_2_3.html#firmware-files-for-4-2-3__firmware_4_2_3j

So new question: Would having a Cisco branded card somehow interfere with iscsi booting?
