Tripp Lite SMART1500LCD (Rack Version) Fan Noise - Replacement

I recently acquired a used Tripp Lite SMART1500LCD. When powered-up, I noticed fan noise was too high. Since my server rack sits besides my work station (5 feet), I quickly realized this UPS can not serve me unless I replace loud fan with some quite one.

For replacement Fan, I used a 12V be quite fan with buck converter. New be quite fan has same CFM rating as original one. Original fan is 24v.

UPS fan now is very silent. No comparison with old fan noise and is running from last 24 hours with no issue.

Has anyone here did same or similar UPS fan conversion? What are your results? Is this conversion sustainable?

I have 2 of these in my office and I would love to silence them. Could you please tell us how this is going? Have you had any issues? Is there any chance that you would post the model numbers of the fan and buck converter?
