Toshiba X300 Pro hard drive doesn't work after resume from sleep (suspend)

I just got a new Toshiba X300 Pro (16 TB) hard drive and trying to use it on Linux with btrfs partition.

It has a weird issue that when PC is put to sleep and woken up, the hard drive doesn’t start. It only works after regular booting up.

Is there any way to work around that or something is defective?

I’ve seen similar reports around and someone suggested (for Windows) to disable hybrid sleep mode for the hard drive. No idea if that’s a solution or how to do it on Linux. Any tips for this would be appreciated.

I did an RMA with the store and replacement has exactly the same issue. So I think they are all defective (or have problem with their firmware). I’ll send it back for a refund.
