Thoughts about gaming on a televison

Discuss? Pro's...Con's 

I am think about making the switch to PC gaming since the games are damn cheap and people play them much longer (VALUE!) (and not having to pay for xbox live is tempting.)

In my interests of saving money AND becuase I have been spolied by gaming on the big flatscreen how capable is a newer flatscreen tv of  PC gaming?

 

Now I just have to hope that logan redoes the 550-600 dollar gaming PC soon so I will have some sort of clue what to get since i am a super retard when it comes to building PC's.

If you're already used to the input lag of playing a console on a tv you will be fine.. but if you play on a proper monitor and then go back you will feel the lag haha

i have my computer hooked to my tv aswell as my lcd's sometimes i even play on my tv for some rpg type games fable ac etc and jsut my controller
