This came up on a recent video. I can understand Ryan’s take on the subject. Let me give you another. I have a sleeping disorder (sleep paralysis) Can be extremely terrifying. Long story short, I found out, by accident, that having a pet (Yorkie) sleep with me made it go away. I got a job which required up to 95% travel. My condition DOES NOT qualify for a service dog, but you could definitely consider it a ‘therapy dog’. Just like anything, there needs to be a middle ground. I realize a LOT of people have abused this, but please do not let that convince you that there are not a lot of people that legitimately benefit significantly from a furry companion.
