Smartbe is funding an automated stroller so you can walk and talk on your phone without having a hand on the stroller. It follows you even when you run. This is so stupid. The point of a stroller that you manually push is for safety concerns. If this is connected as an internet of things device is it secure from hackers and mishaps? If the parent is in stable condition wouldn't it be safer just to push the stroller? Who is this targeting in the real world? The 1 percent of people who don't ever have the time to nurture adolescents?

The first thing I thought of is an international ring of baby kidnappers will figure out how to hijack the IoT signal and steer the strollers into a waiting van that will sell the babies on the black market to parents desperate to adopt spoiled rich kids raised in the lap of luxury.
But I am certifiably insane and tend to go overboard.
