Debating with this myself
I so want Ryzen too, but I already have a Skylake Xeon.
My want v. need center in my brain is very conflicted.
Bench for waitmarks.
Again if you have a modern Intel CPU and dont need more cores really isn't a need to upgrade. I'm not.
But my AIO needs to be stressed at least once in its life...
Bleh.
7700k ✓
Got it, I'll buy one now.
yeah, but i also need to count ddr4 to it. As I do not have them. (and a rack case thats additional $300 or more)
any1 wants to buy some 2u intel server with 64gb of ram and dual e5-2670's?
Uhm, a third one? No, I'm good. :P
btw.:
Oh boy do I want to. Unfortunately I have 0 use for one ATM other than to swing my dick about to friends and family.
You act like that isn't a valid reason lmao

I cant afford the new AMD setup and a server.
Compromises must be made.
thats good reason enough.
I got to say after watching the AMD presentation on it is that Ryzen is very impressive. I'm really curious about the Ryzen 7 1700. That one seems awesome to me. I'm looking forward to reading more benchmarks on all of these.
Yeah, price to performance the 1700 seems insane.
Insta preordered.
It's dumb.
I know.
I'm dumb.
I'm ok with that.
You want to feel less dumb? I just bought a 7700k less than a month ago.
Finally got those cinebench r15 numbers. Fuck it, I'm on the hype train too I guess. Now to wait for 6 core pricing too see if I can justify the wallet impact...
Welcome aboard. Toot toot.
